Today we went to the museum and we learnt about hei tiki, the necklaces that you wear around your neck, we got to touch one but we had to wear gloves and the one that I touched was made of Jade or also known as greenstone, also there was a maori lady that lived a few hundred years ago had a hei tiki around her neck and she was a guide, so she took people out to see the pink and white terraces. we also talked about how the people of New Zealand should use tiki and hei tiki.
